Camp Creek

About 15kms in from the mouth of the Kimberley’s Prince Regent River, Camp Creek runs to the south and ends at a rock bar where the fresh meets the salt water.

Crocodiles are common in the creek and are sometimes seen in the first billabong which is surrounded by paperbark trees, lilies and marsh-warts. This is also a great site for bird watchers.

You can complete a walk to find two magnificent pools that end in a series of waterfalls. Camp Creek is an area that early explorer Phillip Parker King and his crew searched for water by rowing up and down the river.
