The iconic Mitchell Falls are located on the Mitchell River, a system that extends about 30kms inland from the Kimberley coast with well-developed mangroves in deep and wide estuaries which are perfect for fishing.
If the tides are high we cruise in our tenders to Surveyor’s Creek where the salt meets the fresh water.
From Surveyor’s Creek there are options to bush walk and swim at various waterholes. Alternatively you can take scenic flights over Camp Creek and up to the Mitchell Falls, or to visit Aboriginal rock art sites. If you are embarking or disembarking the Great Escape at the Mitchell Plateau you will experience a scenic flight over the Mitchell Falls as part of the cruise package.
